Studio Services Agreement - Terms & Conditions

By making an advance payment or attending a session at a studio (the “Studio”) owned or

operated by Surrey Studios Limited (“Surrey Studios”), you (the “Client”) confirm your

acceptance of the following terms and conditions, which comprise a binding agreement between

Surrey Studios and the Client (the “Agreement”) relating to Surrey Studio’s services and the

Client’s session(s) at the Studio.

Booking Requirements & Session Fees

• A minimum of a two-hour booking is required for all sessions.

• The session fee includes an engineer and us providing recording services, and access to the

Studio and equipment in the Studio. Session fees are not payments for songwriting,

production, performance or creative rights.

• Full payment must be made to confirm your booking.

• Instant bank transfers are accepted; we do not accept cash or cheques.

Overruns & Cancellations

• Sessions exceeding the pre-booked hours will be charged at our hourly rate of £100.

• Failure to cancel a session with at least 48 hours’ notice may result in a loss of part or all of

the Client’s session fee.

Data Responsibility

• All session data and audio files are the responsibility of the Client to back up and store

securely. Surrey Studios is not liable to the Client or anyone else for the loss, theft, or

damage of any files or data.

• All data must be transferred during the booked session time. Additional fees will apply for

any data transfers requested after the session.

Creative Rights

• Surrey Studios and Jack Vasiliou acknowledgement they have no rights to original music or

lyrics written by the Client.

• However, if performance and/or creative services by Jack Vasiliou are requested, such as

music or lyric writing services, payment of the session fees by the Client do not constitute a

“buyout” of Jack Vasiliou’s performance, creative rights or copyright. Any agreed writing/

production contributions by Jack Vasiliou must be formalised through a copyright service or

written contract. Writing/production splits must be assigned to all contributors before

uploading the work to any distribution service(s).

Studio Usage

• Outside engineers are not permitted to run sessions at the Studio.

• Clients are responsible for any damage they cause to Studio equipment during their session.

Recording content and restrictions

• The Client undertakes that nothing shall be included in any recording made at the Studio by

or at their request which constitutes a breach of any intellectual property rights or which is in

any way illegal, scandalous, obscene or libelous (any and all a “Client Breach”) and, in the

event of a Client Breach, the Client shall fully indemnify Surrey Studios and keep it

indemnified against any claims made against it, loss, damage, costs and/or expenses

incurred by Surrey Studios as a result of the Breach.

• Surrey Studios shall not be required to record or reproduce any matter which in its opinion is

or may be of an illegal, scandalous, obscene or libelous nature.

Personal Possessions

Surrey Studios shall not be responsible to the Client or anyone else for the loss, damage, or theft

of any personal possessions brought to the studio. All items are brought at the Client’s own risk.

CCTV Security

For security purposes, CCTV video recording is in operation (“Security Cameras”) in and near

the Studio premises. By attending a session at the Studio, the Client and all attendees

acknowledge and agree to the Security Cameras being used at the Studio.

Video recordings will automatically deleted every 30 days.

Force Majeure

Surrey Studios shall not be under any liability for any failure to perform any of its obligations

under this Agreement due to Force Majeure, in which case the session will be postponed until a

mutually convenient future date. In this Agreement,

‘Force Majeure’ means any matters beyond

the reasonable control of Surrey Studios, including:

• An explosion, flood, tempest, fire or accident;

• war or threat of war or civil disturbance;

• power failure or breakdown in machinery; or

• the engineer is ill.

Miscellaneous

• Surrey Studios reserves the right to refuse service at our discretion.

• This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between Surrey Studios and the Client.

• Any disputes or claims arising from this Agreement will be governed by English law.
